Sean! What an absolutely brilliant and generous idea! I love the ocean. You’ve just given me a great deep drink.
Gonna take some work, but I’ll be back for more and more. (Slow like me, as I said, over 10 minutes to load this page! But worth the wait.) Thanks.
Neil I’m sorry it’s a problem to load but I’m so glad you felt the wait was worth it.
Hi Sean! So impressed with this visual gallery and gift of yours, this little poem came to be. Hope you’ll be pleased with my humble offering.
I took about 40 of your images here, culled them a bit, then imagined what each might write home to us, one line for each. That was fun! But then, I’m easily amused. Last looked then, who among them wanted to sit together on the page, and thus this little poem was born,
Postcards Home from Sky and Sea
http://bearlyaudible.wordpress.com/2009/09/19/postcards-home-from-sky-and-sea/
All so common, sky and sea, yet also each so unique, their story to say.
Neil,
I have just read your poems and think that this is a stunning example of the teamwork and fellowship that evolves from collaboration. You have taken the pictures that merely captured a moment in time and with your words have breathed into them life that will come into existence every time they are read.
Thanks for seeing my pictures as worthy of your creative attention.
Oh this is great Sean! I’m so glad to see these images back up again. (I know, I know, some things do, some don’t get visited so much… but I’m of a mind that some things – meaning these – just “deserve” space no matter what even if only once upon a blue cloudy sky sometime pauses to notice and goes “oh yea, this is just right, the way beauty is!”) And these are incredible.
Sean, sky and clouds do have language. It is a language all their own, and if we ourselves include “wisdom”, we’ll have the wisdom to look and observe and learn from what we think commonplace – because it is, and THAT IS the miracle, the beauty and truth of this life and place. Thank you Sean.

Oh, and yea, these take my breath away all over again!
I’ll also update my poem these pictures gave to me, so’s to get the link reset.
