THE AUTUMN OF TWO O ONE O

Back in the autumn of One Nine Four Eight.

My mum and dad held my hand.

They said it’s now or never.

When you’re older you’ll understand.

That life’s for living not for wasting.

That’s when you’ll have the best days of your life.

Now it’s the autumn of Two O One O.

And I’m turning 62.

These are the best days of my life.

I know it’s never going to last forever.

So I won’t be just passing time.

These are the best days of my life.

  1. What’s the weather ahead?
Cloudy and clear with a chance of Sean!

(it’s late, I get like this!)

I’m reading more than writing tonight (although I need a much longer night). Reading from the very beginning of your blog! To say merely interesting would be unkind. (And I don’t know what all this birthday stuff is about as you’re only 11 months old so far!) (three months older than me!)

And it all makes me wonder what you’ll be when you grow up! Great show so far my friend!

But less foolishly said, I think the reason your blog is so good is because your life is so good. Very flavor-full, as some might say!

(And thanks for all the many poem ideas!)
