Last night snow fell in the hills between Canberra and Bungendore and in areas around Goulburn and Crookwell. The weatherman says that the last time it snowed so late in the year was in November 2008.
At Susan Reynolds, Alpaca Products Australia headquarters, in Crookwell New South Wales, fifteen-and-a-half centimetres of snow (about six inches) is on the ground and in the trees as you can see in the pictures.
The weight of the snow on the electricity lines has cut of the power and she is relying on her log fire to keep warm. Her dogs have no worry as they are running around in the snow wearing the special warm alpaca doggie coats her company makes.
