sans souci

When I’m near the water I think blue and I’m sure my blood pressure goes down.

The bay was a mirror this morning and I dream that the fish are cruising slowly, silently under the wavy wet water.

There was a time when I caught fish every day but the earth and the bay are not so pristine now and the fish no longer leap from every stream. I look at the tide as it comes and goes and realise, like me, it’s just passing through except water doesn’t age.

  1. Beautifully expressed Sean. Poetic, more than fine. Although I admire more the hands, the eyes, the man who knew to witness and now share with us. Home doesn’t mean so much a place, but the person standing there and how he lives.
