King Street, which in old, old times was an aboriginal track, is a great place to visit.

It has a bit of glam about it and I love visiting its bookstores and trendy shops. Every step of the way has interesting cafés full of students and artists all dressed in way out styles.

In the late 1920’s my grandmother and my father lived upstairs in 412 King Street and here are some pics of the interesting shops in that section of the street.

  1. Bit late getting back on this one (off for a while). My family from the Young/Abblett/Kessey side live in Newtown area. It certainly has character.
Keep on snapping snaps, love them.
